The Natural History Museum

Yesterday we visited London's Natural History Museum. Our favourites were the Dinosaur Exhibit and the Gem Vault.

Us outside of the Museum.

Chris took this cool photo of everybody walking around the museum.

Tower of London

In what seemed to be an endless day, we next visited the Tower of London. Inside, there were so many places to go that it would have been impossible to visit them all. The main attraction we visited was the Crown Jewels, but unfortunately we weren't allowed to take photos... or the jewels. :p

Big Ben and the London Eye

After the wax museum we took another bus tour and got to see Big Ben. When we finished taking photos, we then got in line to go on the London Eye. The view from the top was amazing and the time went soo quickly!

Madame Tussaud's

The next day we visited Madame Tussaud's famous wax museum. The skilled sculptors take over 200 measurements of their subject and begin work on the mould. In total, each model takes about 3 months to make!

London

Well after flying for an hour and a half we arrived in london. The streets were lined with the famous london cabs....so efficient, sits five and the cab drivers know exactly where you want to go!

The next day we took one of the London double decker bus tours. You can hop on and off, they have a running commentary in many languages and its good for 48 hours. This is the little tourist familyat Trafalgar Square.

Here we are sitting up the top of the bus.....no it wasn't cold at all hahahaha

Being Dr. Who fans we just had to get photos of the famous red telephone boxes! They are everywhere despite the popularity of mobile phones....its good that they keep the traditions going. Here is a question for the followers....what is the name of Dr. Who's ship?

This is the marker for the London City proper....even the Queen by tradition has to ask permission from the mayor to enter this part of the city.

London Bridge and the River Thames

Well since we decided on this trip Courtney has been wanting to find a build-a-bear! She researched all the sites along the way and was disappointed that there wasn't one in Dubai or Paris. However, the first morning we arrived she had written done all the addresses we could find them in London! The expression on her face when we walked in was priceless. She made a bunny to be a friend to her bear...Christina.

You choose the type of toy, whether you want it to say something and a special satin heart. You then choose to have it stuffed soft, medium or hard. You have to cuddle it and tell the helper whether or not it is just right for you! Then you can choose the outfits....I don't know who was worse...Courtney or me....well every stuffed toy must have a spider man outfit right?

The next day we walked through Hyde Park and looked at Speakers Corner, the statue of Achilles and all the horses that were being excercised. Awesome park.

The trees seemed to go on forever

There were Xmas markets as well in the park but after Germany they just didn't make the mark
